The relationship between Walk The World and Nucleus Wealth:

With cash rates being cut to ribbons recently, income from cash and term deposits are set to stay low for years. As the RBA chair said, savers now have to take market related exposures to generate returns.

This raises the question, what product offers the right solution? It would offer complete transparency, a range of tailorable options, reasonable fees, and reliable performance with a strong focus on downside protection.

The good news is Walk The World has partnered with Nucleus Wealth to present an option you might want to explore; Walk The World Fund and Walk The World Super.

Shared philosophy:

Nucleus Wealth’s Head of Investments Damien Klassen and Martin North discuss the shared philosophy in the investment strategy behind Walk The World Fund and Super that helped form the partnership.

This includes a look at the high quality assets held in portfolios making for a secure portfolio that focuses on long term investments, the tactical asset allocation employed by Nucleus Wealth to vary the weightings between assets, investors being able to calibrate their own portfolio allocations and the low, flat fees that don’t include performance fees

Most investment funds are one-size-fits-all

You get the Henry Ford’s Model T experience: any colour you like, as long as it’s black.

Every investor gets the same fund.

Stockbrokers ask you to do it all

Go to a stockbroker and you get every car part in crates – but you must build the whole car yourself.

You get the flexibility, but also the responsibility of running a diversified, risk managed portfolio.

How do our fees compare?

Getting to the bottom of investment fees can be difficult - for many companies intentionally so.

Many funds have multiple layers of fees and they may not be showing you all of the fees.

In the tables here we show the average and median fees for all Australian Superannuation funds as assessed by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority.

In a broad sense:

  • Nucleus Direct Indexing is one of the cheapest ways to invest either inside of super or outside of super.
  • Nucleus Active and Tactical funds tend to be cheaper than the average fund
