Is It The End For Value Investing? | Nucleus Investment Insights

In this week’s podcast, Nucleus Wealth’s Chief Investment Officer, Damien Klassen and Head of Advice, Samuel Kerr take a hard look at the problems with Value investing.

Value investing has had a really bad decade. Over the last 10 years, the MSCI World Value Index has returned approximately 50% less than the MSCI World Index. A decade is a long time to wait for things to get better in the investment world. Coincidentally, Charlie Munger, who is Warren Buffet’s partner at Berkshire Hathaway, sadly passed away this week aged 99. Those two are the most famous value investors of all time. We discuss their approach, some of Charlie’s wisdom and their recent underperformance. Is value investing doing something wrong? Our answer is yes, and we explain why in the podcast.
